SandboxAPKGoreBox v16
The biggest GoreBox update so far, patch by patch, up to the current 16.3.56 build.
v16 is the version of GoreBox you're playing if you installed it any time since 2025. It rebuilt a lot of the game's guts, brought modding back, and it's been patched steadily since. If you're coming back after a break, this page lists what changed.
v16 and 16.1: the big one
- Many new weapons and a large batch of props and entities.
- New maps plus a winter theme across the existing ones.
- Heavily improved character customisation.
- Reworked models and visuals; the cartoonier textures from v14 and v15 got another pass.
- Modding returned after being pulled in earlier versions. The Workshop and modding API came back with it.
16.3.30: the gameplay patch
This is the patch most people mean when they talk about "the new GoreBox update".
- Canvas map: a flat, empty space built for construction and Workshop maps.
- Gestures, and the ability to command GoreDolls with them. Point and they follow, wave and they stop.
- Better GoreDoll stumbling and AI.
- Radial menus for firearms and for the Reality Crusher's modes and gestures. Multiple magazine options for every gun.
- New player animations and third-person shooting effects.
- Missions, with a checkpoint warp entity for map makers.
- Divine mode (the god mode toggle) and dropkicking.
- A new Workshop backend by a community developer, samllea1.
16.3.56: the current build
Mostly stability and balance. This is also the first build after F²Games removed official multiplayer, which happened on 11 March 2026. The servers had been hammered by exploiters and bot raids, and the studio pulled the plug while it fixed the underlying security problems. What's next: GoreBox 26
F²Games has been previewing a rebuilt version referred to as GoreBox 26 or GB26, which is where official multiplayer is expected to return. No release date. Separately, GoreBox 27 launched as its own app on Google Play, and it is not this game. Don't confuse the two.
Get the latest version
Play and Steam are the official stores. Uptodown and Aptoide host the unmodified F²Games app and keep an archive of older builds. SandboxAPK does not store game files.

Common questions
Where's the v16 APK?
On Google Play. It's the current version, so a plain install gets you 16.3.56. Older 16.x builds are on Uptodown's version list if you need one for a specific mod.
Is v16 on PC too?
Yes, Steam updates in step with Android, give or take a few days.
When is the next update?
F²Games doesn't publish a schedule. Their Discord and X account are where patch notes land first.
