SandboxAPK

About this site: editorial and testing policy

Independent guides, version tracking and testing for physics sandbox games. This is how the site is made.

What SandboxAPK is

SandboxAPK covers five physics sandbox games: GoreBox, Melon Sandbox, People Playground, Teardown and Garry's Mod. Each game has a hub and a set of guides on the questions players ask: which version is current, what runs on which device, how mods work, how to fix crashes, whether a claimed port exists. The site is not affiliated with any of the studios.

Who writes it

SandboxAPK is written and maintained by its editor, Usman Shafqat, an engineer by profession and a long-time player of physics sandbox games, who plays the games covered and keeps the version-specific pages current. Pages are written from play, from the developers' own channels and from the games' documentation, then checked against the community wikis where they exist.

How we verify

Facts are checked in this order, and the page says which one a claim came from when it matters:

  1. The official store listing (Google Play, App Store, Steam): version number, requirements, price, publisher.
  2. Developer announcements: Steam news posts, the studio's Discord and social accounts, in-app changelogs.
  3. In-game observation: what the current build shows when we open it.
  4. Community documentation (Fandom wikis, mod pages), used for detail and cross-checked against the above.

Third-party APK archives are referenced for older builds only, after comparing publisher, package name and version with the official listing. We do not host game files, and we do not link to modified builds.

How we test

Where a page reports how a game runs from our own play, it carries a "Tested by SandboxAPK" box with the device, Android version, memory, game version, date and result. Where the information comes from other players or from the developer, the page says "community reports" or "developer documentation" instead. We don't publish performance numbers we haven't measured, and pages without a test box make no testing claim.

Update policy

Every page shows the date its content last changed, and the site changelog records what changed. Version-specific pages (the APK and version pages for each game) are checked against the official listing whenever a new build ships, and their facts strips carry the last verification date.

Corrections

If something on a page is wrong or out of date, email [email protected] with the page URL and what's wrong. Corrections are made on the page itself, and the page's date moves.

Rules we keep

  • Official store links only. No hosted APKs, IPAs, cracks or repacks.
  • No ratings, download counts or reviews we haven't sourced.
  • Game names, logos and artwork belong to their owners; the site uses none of the studios' artwork.
  • Advertising and analytics are described on the privacy page.
